Boil Barilla lasagna noodles until slightly undercooked.
Brown ground beef in a skillet and drain excess fat.
Add onion and garlic to beef, cooking until onion is translucent.
Stir in tomato sauce, basil, oregano, and pepper; simmer.
Mix ricotta cheese with egg and a pinch of nutmeg.
Preheat oven to 375°F and spread sauce in a baking dish.
Layer noodles, ricotta, mozzarella, and sauce; repeat.
Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove foil and bake until cheese is golden brown.
Let lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
