- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup milk (or almond milk for dairy-free)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips (mix of milk and dark chocolate)
- 1 tablespoon butter for brushing
