Ingredients
  

  • 4 ling cod fillets about 6 ounces each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for garnish
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Pat the ling cod fillets dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  • Place the seasoned ling cod fillets in the hot pan and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • Remove the fillets from the pan and set aside.
  • Add butter to the pan and melt it over medium heat.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and add lemon juice and fresh parsley.
  • Return the ling cod fillets to the pan and spoon the sauce over them.
  • Garnish with lemon slices and extra parsley.
  • Serve immediately while hot.
